Do you know your rights? It is never too late…….
Come and join the conversation with the Montgomery County African Affairs Advisory Group as we discuss a very important issues in our communities. This week our first Agenda focuses on Immigration. Please come and learn, meet the experts, know your rights, learn how to access Pro bono legal services and other resources that are readily available for you as a resident of the Montgomery County Maryland.
Our next priority is Education. Immigrant Children need a specialized focus and support.
We encourage parents to participate and learn how to better communicate deep issues with their children, how to respond to their questions and support their needs. Our children may be receiving new and/or conflicting information and need a better understanding.
The Montgomery County African Affairs Advisory Group (AAAG) serves as liaison between the African communities and the Montgomery County government. The purpose of the African Affairs Advisory Group is to ensure that the County Government is well informed of and able to act effectively to respond to the needs and concerns of African immigrants living/and or working in Montgomery County. We meet every second Thursday of the month from 7:00pm to 8:30 pm and our meetings are open to all.
